REMEMBERING JUDE MARTIN

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jude Martin of Beaver Island, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 86, on February 27, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur James and Sarah Agatha Martin (Gallagher); his siblings, Wilbur James Martin, William James Martin, Bernard Martin, Mary Margaret Long, Charlotte McDonough and Catherine Kohn; and his stepdaughter Jeannie Huyge.
He is survived by: his wife Dena; his children, Tracie Nester, Thomas (Heather) and Kelly Bennema (Rich); the parent of his children Dee Martin; his stepchildren, Jill York (Dave), Thomas, Jennifer and Tim VanAntwerp; his grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Alex and Zebulun; his stepchildren, Megan, Elle, Paige, Nicholas, Rumer (Heather), Josh, Nathan and Faith; his sister Ilene Zimmer-man; and his step grandchildren, Jessica, Eddie, Cassie, Brandon, Sarah, Nate, Sybelle, Alex, Brahm, Sierra and Jacob. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
A burial will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (26369 Old Church Crest Rd, Beaver Island, MI 49782). Memorial contributions in Jude’s name may be made to the Beaver Island Maritime Museum and Beaver Island Community School.
